I love these, and am about to order a second pair. They are supremely comfortable, I had none of the stability issues reported by another reviewer and I've had several compliments about them. Not to mention the great value! My only teeny weeny gripe is that the cream memory foam/velour insole gets dirty rapidly and a bit smelly. One day I got caught in a downpour and they got soaked. I took them in the shower with me thinking they'd probably had it anyway, but after scrubbing the insole with a nailbrush and some spray shower cleaner (well,it was the first thing to hand) giving them a good rinse off, then squeezing the insoles dry with an old towel, they dried out nicely and the smell and dirt were gone (for a while). I'm not sure they would stand up to this treatment more than a couple of times, so I'd love to see an odor-resistant black insole as the norm.

Attractive but unsteady...
Date:October 16, 2012
Pros: attractive, soft, easy to get on, simple
Cons: sturdiness (for me)
I needed to replace all my sandals that I've had for the past several years (purchased from Payless, of course) and thought these black wedge slides would be perfect for replacing my black Penny Slides.
The look of them is sort of ho-hum. For me, they were suitable as grab-and-go shoes when I didn't need a specific look. Cute, but nothing out of the ordinary.
I felt that they had a slightly wide fit (I did not get wides), but really not wide enough to be considered "wide width". Just a tiny bit loose.
I returned these shoes. When I walked on carpet, they were kind of slippery. When I walked on linoleum, they were a bit slippery. That feeling of unsteadiness was unnerving. The sole also felt like it was going to give...it was supportive, but I felt like my feet were going to fall right through it, if that makes any sense. Soft and springy I can appreciate, but sturdy has to be there too and I didn't feel like it was.
However, I would still recommend these to a friend. I have balance issues due to scoliosis (which, as you might know, if your back is crooked, so it the rest of you) so if a shoe doesn't fit just right, I find that I have a hard time walking in them (I can't afford to fall). I think other people would find them very comfortable, though.
