Cons: needs more extended calf in more colors in stores
Love these boots! Because they fit for wide calves AND super affordable. One suggestion since you recently brought in the grey and brown non-suedes- offer a COGNAC color in the non-suede material!! I swear those will sell out in a flash! I would even buy two because these wonderful, FITTING boots doesn't come around often for bigger calf gals (mine's about 20 inches)

LOVE these extended calf boots!!

Pros: stylish, large sizes available, extended calf really fits
To finally find a stylish pair of boots that FITS is a miracle! I wear a 12 and need extended calf. Try to find that combination for less than a few hundred dollars. But Payless did it! The wide calf really does accommodate larger legs. I am on my feet for a majority of the day and I'm comfortable all day long. The boots are warm and look fabulous. I am 43 and plus-sized, and I did not think I could pull off the skinny jeans and boots look that is so popular. Thanks to these boots, not only did I achieve the look, I ROCK it. Get these boots - you will not be sorry!

These boots (I got them in grey and red) are awesome. I have athletic legs, so I needed the extended calf (wide width) size. They fit perfectly. I can wear them over jeans and pants with room to spare! The suede look is very fashionable as is the slouchy way they're styled. I get SO many compliments on both pairs but the red/burgundy boots are definitely a stand out that draw great attention. My husband lovingly refers to them as my "Christmas boots" and he loves them just as much as I do!

Went to the local store excited that I may get some mid calf boots that fit. Sadly they did not, not very wide I have large calf's (21 inches) they do not stretch at all. Very cute and they look comfy but sadly I will never know.

I have size 12 wide feet so it is very hard for me to find shoes. I could probably squeeze into a 12W in these boots, but they aren't very warm so I'm glad I allowed room for socks but getting 13 wides. I would say they are pretty true to size- maybe a little small. This isn't a complaint, considering my calves are very big and it works for me, but the calf area on these boots (if you buy the extended calf version) is ENORMOUS. If you have thin legs, I wouldn't suggest you try these.They are even loose on my large legs with jeans and tall socks on. They aren't super cushy and comfortable, but not all shoes are.They are so stylish and match with everything in the grey color. The slick material makes them pretty resilient toward wetness and weather. I am tall and my husband is shorter, so the heel on these doesn't make me feel like I'm towering over everybody. I love them so so so much because I can barely ever find shoes that are cute and make me feel beautiful and feminine. I'm not a super stylish girl, but having a good pair of boots is the best feeling ever!

I dont know how someone could say these fit a 20 inch calf. I went off of that review to purchase these and they were incredibly tight. They bunch up on the zipper side. I was not impressed at all.

i have been looking for wide calf boots that arent expensive forever i am so glad i decided to buy these i got the brown suede they are amazing i have 17 inch calfs i bought a ten wide and they fit perfect with extra room to wear with jeans..when i was thinking about buying them i could find out how high they were so if anyone else is wondering they come up to the bottom of my knees which was what i wanted,if you have wide calfs you wont be dissapointed with these boots!!!

I was thrilled to find these extended calf size boots that are actually extended calf size. They work with everything - jeans, skirts, etc.
However, it was heartbreaking to find out that the quality is unbelievably bad. I bought these boots in September, and by the beginning of November, the suede on the front of the toes was completely rubbed off. Both toes now have large white spots where the material under the suede covering is showing. It doesn't seem cost effective to repair them, and I am hesitant to buy another pair because they didn't even last through the season. For what it's worth, I have never had this problem with another pair of shoes.
Otherwise, the boots were great - comfortable, stylish, fitting. But I can't really wear them anymore without embarrassing wear on the front. Terrible, terrible quality!

I bought these boots based on the reviews that even women with extra wide calves fit them. My calves are 18.25 inches at the thickest part, and these boots don't quite reach that high. And they fit... but barely. They are so tight they don't really look right, and I certainly won't be able to put leggings on under them like I had hoped to do. They are comfortable other than that, I just don't think they are "extra wide width" like everyone else says. Maybe they changed the cut because too many thought they were too wide; I would have preferred all that extra space!

I have been the woman who stares at the other ladies with their fashionable boots for years but could not afford a pair of her own. A wide width, wide calf boot for under $200 did not exist, and the ones that did were still tight.
I heard Payless had a lot of wide calf boots (I've been buying the wide width shoes for years) and was thrilled to spend less than 5 minutes in the local store before I found these, tried them and did not have to fight the zipper. They are VERY comfy and wore them for an 8 hour day of work today with no sitting and my feet are still happy. I felt like a pirate with these on and loved it. I would suggest getting arch supports in these since they are totally flat on the inside.

I went into my local Payless store looking for wide calf boots and the saleswoman recommended these to me. I tried them on and they fit like a DREAM! They have a little extra room around the calf so I can finally wear skinny jeans with boots! I have extra muscly legs and these are the only boots in my entire town that will fit them. They are lacking arch support, but that's easily fixed with a cheap insole. I just bought three more pairs of these boots online because I know that I will wear them for a long time!

This is a bit of a mixed review as I fell in love with them but ended up with nothing but diappointment. They are super cute and just what I had been looking for.
I found these boots online earlier today and I was so looking forward to purchasing them. I called my local store to make sure they were in stock and was excited when they said "yes." I went straight over there to check them out instead of having to purchase them online. The reviews were so positive and I was sure that one of the two size options (regular or wide) would fit. I, like many others, have never been able to zipper boots up over my calves. According to the online measurements, I should be wearing the regular, not wide though. My calves at the biggest part are about 15" around.
When in store I tried both a 7.5 and an 8 both in regular and wide. Both wides were way too big, even with flare jeans tucked in and both regulars were too tight! How is it even possible that neither fit properly? Am I really just that much of an akward in between size? My excitement practically turned to tears as I left the store with nothing in hand.

wish they were in my true size

My complaint with these is that they come in wide width, but only if you need the wide calf. I have a wide foot - always have, but I have a normal calf and I ordered the boot in wide and got it in a wide, but the calf size looked ridiculous on my legs. I have to go a half size up to get the boot to fit in regular sizes. One of the things I always loved about Payless is that they have wide width shoes and boots, just wish they didn't assume that a wide foot means you have a wide calf and have many more options to choose from.

These boots are awesome! I've had them for about a month now and have no comlaints. I have them in the wide width for my calf but I have narrow feet so I was skeptical at first but that hasn't been an issue. I usually wear these boots with dresses for work but I've also wore them with skinny jeans. The boot is still wide enough that I can tuck my pants in but they don't look huge around my leg without pants. It's the perfect width for me. I was also kind of worried since they didn't look like they had much support for 8 hour shifts. So far that hasn't been an issue either, although, I think I will still get some inserts for them.

Pros: higher heel, holds up wonderfully, very comfortable
I bought these last year and the heel was a LOT smaller. Any time it would rain my shoes would have a river in them when it was barely damp on the sidewalks. I wished they had a higher heel to prevent this so when I went to rebuy these, I LOVE that they had added a taller heel. My past complaint was also due to no heel, I drive a manual and due to the clutch the back of my heel on the left side is now non-existant. Can't wait to get my new pairs! (Re-Bought in black and going for RED too!)

They ought to make these boots and other knee boots for men but since they dont I wear women's sizes. I know some women who wear certain mens shoes so why not the opposite? I've always loved the look of boots so I tried on a pair of these and totally loved them. I wear them under my slacks & jeans and have to say that these boots are soooooo comfortable, Comparing to mens shoes it feels like i'm hardly wearing anything on my feet. They are so light. I know now why women love them. I also understand why women have so many shoes. There's so many styles to chose from. I wear the regular calf and they fit great! I would recommend these to anyone , and I mean anyone. I have them in black and brown and i might buy the gray ones also. I go everywhere in them. I drive long distances and they are so comfortable compared to dress shoes and tennis shoes. I will buy extra's so i dont run out of them. Just wish they would make these and other knee boots for men. I love them!

Thank you, Payless, for providing extended calf boots! For years, I have wanted to wear boots over jeans, but have not been able to find any that fit my wide calves. Finally, I found one rogue pair in a store accidentally last year. This year, I checked and found these online. I bought both brown and black and LOVE them. They are so comfy, and they fit perfectly over skinny jeans. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
My only regret is that I can't find these in stores. I had to order them online and wait a couple of weeks... :( But that is much better than the years I've been waiting to find them!
