great shoes
Date:April 30, 2013
Pros: flexibility, made well, inexpensive, non slip
Cons: none
These are very durable shoes, my daughter has had them since the beginning of school and she just outgrew them! She loves them because they don't have to be tied, guess I tie too tight! The bungee helps her foot be flexible. I have bought her expensive sketchers and they hurt her feet and are too narrow! I was so happy to see you still carry them. Tomorrow we are going to buy a new pair, this time in white, her last pair were black. Very happy with our purchases, always buy her sandals here too!

cute, but didn't last
Date:November 26, 2012
Pros: cute
Cons: cheap quality
I bought for my pre-k and my 2nd grader for school. After less than 2 months of school the 2nd graders shoe started falling apart. They were cute, comfortable and cheap. BUT they didn't last.

Love these shoes...never had a problem
Date:November 3, 2012
Cons: the material on the toe can get scuffed up.
Maybe the other moms had a defect pair because my kid(s) have worn these since they started walking. Sole flexibility is the most important aspect of a child's shoe for foot development. I have searched far and wide and these are by far the best value with a flexible sole. The majority of name brands have hard soles that do not flex, so be careful! I am a Radiologic Technologist (I take xrays) so my entire collage career is based on anatomy and bone and ligament formation so please believe me and buy a flexible sole! My 5 year old is VERY active (to the point she is being tested for ADHD) and I've never had a problem with these shoes and they are the only ones I buy her. They wash up great and she has always been able to put them on herself! Each of my kids have a "play" pair and a "good" pair.

Velcro Strap Broke in Under 2 Months
Date:October 23, 2012
Pros: cute
Cons: they will break, did i mention they'll break, don't expect them to last
We bought these for back-to-school. By mid-October the Velcro strap at the top of one shoe snapped off. There is a line of stitching that holds the strap to the shoe. This stitching also creates a serrated portion of the strap, making it susceptible to breakage. In fact, this design flaw will almost undoubtedly lead to the strap snapping off in short order. Too bad, because they are cute shoes. My daughter really loved them.

I won't buy more at Payless
Date:October 21, 2012
My daughter has had these shoes for maybe a month and they are falling apart. She hasn't even worn them everyday. I really wanted them to work because the price is right. I will return to buying a name brand athletic shoe even thougth they cost more. I've had other shoes from this store that didn't hold up well. This just settles it for me. If I wait for 30% off at another store the price will be better. This doesn't really make me want to buy more at Payless.
