Pros: comfy
Cons: creates poor posture
I have just not had much luck with these shoes. They are, as all the Safe T Step shoes, very good with the slip resistance, but I find that I ache in weird places after wearing them. First, at a job where I walked all day, I had a continuous ache in my left calf that didn't resolve until I stopped wearing them. Lately, at a job that's more standing than walking, I find that I'm sore in the hip area. Theses aches and pains are always one sided, which tells me that these shoes are causing imbalances in my posture and are changing the load bearing areas of my frame. I also find that I have a DRAMATICALLY increased tendency to pronate (ankles rolling inward so that the arches flatten) in these, much more than any other shoe I've worn. Sometimes all that softness is just TOO soft.

I ordered two pair. One for work one for everyday. I ordered them on a saturday and they were not due to arrive until wednesday and came on tuesday :) YAY... put them on immediately! I had worked that day at my restaraunt and my feet were hurting, I put these on and the insoles took away my pain! Walked around the block with the kids I could feel the burn up the hamstrings I am looking forward to many more walks with the kids! I think I just found my new sneakers for a long long time to come!
