Pros: nice style
Cons: bad quality
Normally Champion make a great kid shoe and we buy them often, but this Is just disappointing. My son wore them once and the elastic ripped off the shoe. Don't waste your money. Terrible quality.

Soles came unattached from shoe
Date:May 25, 2012
Pros: nice looking
Cons: falls apart, too expensive
I have NEVER seen a pair of shoes fall so completely apart so fast! I can't believe they charge the "everyday great price" of $20 for these shoes (which is mid-high for a Payless shoe). These should be $7 shoes for how long they last. We just bought these about 2 months ago and I looked at my son's foot yesterday and I could see his toes (all his toes) sticking out the bottom of the shoe. The sole (at the toe) was completey unattached and worn away. Wow. I've had other Champion shoes with similar problems, but this takes the cake!

Falls apart
Date:April 17, 2012
Pros: nice style and color
Cons: quality has declined in the past year and a half.
My son goes through about 1.5 sizes per year.I have usually found champion to be of good quality but these shoes look terrible after less than 2 months. The elastic in the middle is stretched out and I had to sew on another piece of Velcro to one of the shoes because they just stopped sticking. Since my son is very picky and will only wear about 3 styles that Payless has to offer, we are kind of stuck. The previous pair got a hole in the sole after 3 months of wear. I wish they would improve the quality a bit more.

Looks aren't everything
Date:January 3, 2012
Pros: looks, comfort
Cons: not durable, short-lived
My nine year old loved these sneakers when we got them. They looked great, and he said they were comfortable. Mom and dad however were not pleased when these shoes fell apart within a month. These shoes really should be much cheaper for the little amount of wear you get out of them. Not worth it.

Not durable
Date:November 11, 2011
I bought this shoe and thought that it was great at first. The shoes fit my son nicely and he loved them. However, they wore out after only wearing them for two months. The sole on both shoes was completely coming off. This has happened with other champion shoes we have bought. I don't think I will buy more champion shoes in the future unless they make them more durable.

Came apart in one day
Date:November 9, 2011
The velcro strap ripped off of one of the shoes the second day my son went to put it on. Not worth it.

Just OK
Date:May 19, 2011
Pros: stylish
Cons: tongue not sewed in
My son wore these one day! And they are already falling apart. The tongue kept sliding down and bunching up by the toes. And the stiching is coming out.

Holds Up to Two Little Boys!
Date:March 29, 2011
I have been buying the flex runner since my oldest could walk. He's had it in several sizes. He has a wide foot but this shoe works great for him. And it holds up to machine washing (air drying) and lasts long enough for baby brother to grow into them, who does not have a wide foot but I just cinch in the velco strap a little more for son #2. My sons call this their "power shoe."
