Ready for the beach with their sandals on :)
I got these for both my girls. they are great for water play. We got them mostly for the beach and rivers and playing in the water where the ground is rough and requires shoes. Both my kids love them and wear them often.

Excellent Summer Sport Sandal
Date:March 18, 2012
I bought a pair of these sandals for both of my daughters last summer. They lasted ALL summer long. Both girls wore them to summer camp 5 days a week, went to the lake in them over the weekends, hiked/walked in them every place we visited last summer and played outside in them. I washed them in the washing machine several times too! They loved their sandals. The girls felt that they were comfortable and stylish. You cannot beat the price!

I loved them but....
Date:September 3, 2011
Cons: poor quality
So I have purchased these shoes 2 years in a row for my daughter. They were what I thought to be the right "Summer Camp Shoe" HOWEVER each year after a few weeks the rip each time in the same spot ...and guess what I took the last pair back back after 3 weeks and was 100% refunded. Will I get them again?..I DONT THINK SO...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Lasted the Summer, and still going......
Date:August 23, 2011
Pros: toes are covered and safe
Cons: snug opening-tricky to get on
I got these sandals for my girls as an alternative to the name-brand model we've usual purchased in the past. They've lasted the summer with no malfunctions and they are still going strong. They have been in 3 Great Lakes, numerous hiking trails, parks, summer camp as well as hoofing it around the city. A 'pro' about these shoes, over the name-brand model, is that these don't leave the children's feet stinky. Yeah!

Not happy with these shoes
Date:July 29, 2011
I bought these shoes for my daughter and in less than a month (3 weeks) the back strap had come right out of the shoe making them unwearable. I feel they were very poorly constructed and should have lasted more than 3 weeks.

Not rugged enough
Date:June 28, 2011
Pros: looks ok
Cons: poor quality, expensive
I bought these shoes for my 11 year old son, after a different pair from the same store only lasted my son 10 days. (The sole split in the front, that's why I bought a shoe with a closed toe this time) Unfortunately this shoe only lasted about 3 weeks. A strap ripped out of the sole on the side. My son didn't even wear them everyday and runs around barefoot allot around the yard. For 27 $ I really expected them to last longer. I expect for a shoe at least to last a season.

Great shoes for active girls!
Date:June 19, 2011
I was very unsure when I purchased these "adventure" shoes for my 6 year old, but they have been the best shoes ever for my active daughter! She loves them! She has worn them at the beach, in the mountains and even to Italy (where we walked our selves crazy)! She plays kickball and other sports in them. One of my neighbors swears they are the more expensive "blank" brand but I haven't told her otherwise!

Great shoes
Date:April 13, 2011
Pros: high quality
Cons: few color selections
I bought these shoes for two daughters in second grade for summer wear and the quality was great. I would have given it five stars if they offered more colors. My daughters wore these from the beginning of a busy summer to the end. All of their time was spent outside (including summer camp activities) and the shoes lasted (even through a few washings). I highly recommend these. I'm actually back here to buy them again because their feet have grown.

Great adventure shoe
Date:September 7, 2010
I bought these for my 1st grader and am very pleased. She wore them most of last summer, rock-hopped all over Colorado, stomped through creeks, and they're still in great shape over a year later. The only problem is she's recently outgrown them. I would buy another pair without hesitation. My daughter loves these sandals and gained a lot of confidence and a real love for the outdoors wearing them!

Not As Rugged As It Looks
Date:June 13, 2010
Pros: comfortable to play in
Cons: can't put them on as quickly as others
Faced with a very slim selection of rugged "play" sandals for my eight year old daughter, I purchased these sandals at our local Payless shoe store. (All others in her size were "dressy" sandals and wouldn't have lasted a week.) They were more money than I wanted to pay, but they seemed like they would be able to live through a summer filled with activities and outdoor fun.
It has been less than two months since they were first donned by my active child and they didn't make it even this long. The attachment of the top to the bottom in the back (heel-side) ripped on both sides, tearing off on one side and ripping the bottom (sole) section of the sandal on one sandal. The sandal for the other foot is showing wear in the same location and probably wouldn't have made it another week.
If you have a very active child, you may not want to spend the extra $$ on this sandal style.
