Pros: comfy, stylish
Cons: hard toe stands, soft sound
I got these tap shoes for my tap class, and they made a soft tap sound, you literally had to stomp on the ground to get a loud sound. They were hard to do toe stands in. But overall they were comfordable and stylish.

Pros: durable, stay tied, look great, comfortable (no complaints from either girl)
Cons: sizing
These shoes look very expensive. They are very durable. My kids 2 and 5 have worn them. The 5 year old has had 2 pairs and I am buying her 3rd pair tonight (1 for every year of dance). for her - she has been wearing a smaller size than her street shoes. Sizing will be the hardest thing on these for ordering online...but Payless has a great return or swap out policy.

Good Beginner Shoes

Pros: great value
Cons: go to store and try on size varies
My Daughter is in Ballet/Tap, she is 4 and 1/2 years old, and as we all know kids feet grow fast, these shoes are perfect for the price, they function just as well as a pair for twice as much, and when she outgrows them in 6 months I am not going to be sick to my stomach
