These saddle shoes are amazing!! I originally purchased them for a Halloween costume (and what a bargain they are!) but I have now worn them with many other every day life outfits. I love them. I wore them for several hours the first couple days before the party to break them in a little but they are pretty comfortable from the start - the only place I can feel them still needing some wear and tear is going straight across the top of the foot when they bend while you walk.
I have gotten sooooo many compliments on them and they truly look like authentic saddle shoes. I don't think they look cheap or anything like that and definitely recommend these to anyone considering them.
I felt they were mostly true to size. I have a little more toe room than I expected which is fine because I can wear them with thicker socks or tights so I'd say just order your regular size.

Pros: comfortable except toe box
Cons: toe is not round as pictured, toe box not too comfortable with wide feet
I purchased these for the round toe and cuteness...the toe is not round as pictured, very disappointed in that. My feet are rather wide, so pointed toe shoes squish my toes which...in turn...will hurt after awhile. All in all, they're not a bad shoe, I'm just not happy with that pointy toe. :/

I bought these shoes because I've been looking for black/white oxfords for such a long time. I'm glad that I did! These shoes are great- whenever I wear them (which is quite often) they bring the right amount of pop to an outfit. I've gotten tons of compliments already! They don't get as dirty as I thought they would. They hold up well, they have a soft interior and they're incredibly stylish. Definitely a great buy. I bought my true size and they fit fine.

I wore saddle shoes in high school and recently got a hankering to wear them again, since oxford-style shoes for women are very fashionable at the moment. Every pair of saddles I've seen sells for at least $50, which is out of my price range. Fortunately, I stumbled upon these adorable Payless saddles and ordered them right away. At $19.99, they're the best bargain I could find.
The toe is narrower and pointier than the picture shows, which is great, as this makes the shoes look even more stylish. They run very true to size, although you may want to go a half size bigger if pointy-toed shoes give you problems. There is some pinching across the bend of the foot, but this should go away after the first few wears. This shoes are just fabulous and will add a bit of schoolgirl panache to your outfits!

I know i wear a size ten, but maybe i dont wear a size ten in payless shoes lol these were really cute, but i knew as soon as i opened the box that they were too small. Otherwise I would have been happy with my online order, but sadly i'll have to return them.

I am so excited about these shoes. I bought a pair of saddle shoes from a trendy store for about $45 and they stunk. They didn't have my exact size and they were pointy and uncomfortable. I love how round toed and authentic these look. I wear them to work all day and feel fully supported and comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get a saddle shoe. I am a 6.5 generally and the 6.5 in this shoe fits perfect. Can't beat the price either. I plan to have a pair of these in my closet for a long time, purchased exclusively from payless. Thanks!

First off, I would like to say that I have been searching for saddle shoes forever. Every where I looked either didn't have what I was looking for or they were, like, $50. When I saw a friend wearing them and I asked her where she got them. When she told me she only got them for $20 I was ecstatic! When I looked online you didn't have the size I needed. I am glad I waited till you had my size in stock though, because these shoes are, like, the best things ever! I absolutely love the style and they are very versatile too. The only con to these shoes is they rub on the back of your heel a little. But they are still new and I am sure with some more breaking in they will be perfect!

I have wanted a pair of saddle oxfords for years and imagine how happy I was to find them so easily on this site and have the value so great! They are exactly true to size! I ordered 6 1/2 and a 7 as they say they are regular and I am more a medium but the 6 1/2 fit perfect and the width is generous. The quality is perfect for the dollar amount and therefore a little thin but I am not disappointed other than they may wear out faster than I would like them to. That is okay thou as long as I can reoder this style at any time. they are very stylish and I could not be more pleased. There is no breaking in time with them as the fit is perfect.

I bought these recently (less than a week actually!) And already love the shoes. I bought them for my 50's Hallows Eve costume and when I got them in the mail I already know I can wear them with other outfits! I ordered mine a half a size bigger than reccomended and they are a nice snug fit. So order a half size bigger you may need it!. And random input, the inner lining is different than the picture shown. The actual shoe has a black and white checkered lining. Also there is a predictions logo on it. Nothing bad just pointing it out!

I was worried about the really round toe but they are slightly more pointed than the photo. I got black laces to go on them and they are sososososoo cute! I've worn them once so far and I've already received many compliments, once people get over their "Are you wearing bowling shoes?" [which i don't think they look like bowling shoes] they love them! :D

Love these! They are very comfortable and dont take much time to break in. You can either dress them up or down. The width is not to narrow but not to wide its just perfect for my wide foot. I got a size 12 and it fits perfect. If your thinking about buying these dont hesitate just buy :)

I get sooooo many compliments on these shoes. They are surprisingly comfortable and I could run around work all night in them and not have pain in my feet. I just bought my second pair as my first pair was worn so often and borrowed so much they finally started showing some wear.
The shoe is a true and very comfortable size 9. No break in time at all. I alway received compliments when I wore them. Saddle Shoes! Who knew.

I don't really understand why some reviewers are saying they aren't wide enough, because the brand SmartFit in itself makes all their shoes a bit wider than other brands' shoes so that they fit great for everyone. That being said, these shoes are very comfortable. I know one reviewer stated that they're hard to break into or gave her blisters, but I honestly think that's just because 1) she ordered a size too small, 2) didn't wear socks (in which case you should always be wearing socks anyway), and 3) didn't wear them long enough to break into them. I admit that they are a little stiff but that's only when you initially put them on as they are new and you can expect that from most shoes in general. They become very comfortable soon enough and I believe they are very true to size, and the bit of extra width is nice. My feet width is very normal so I don't need the extra bit but as another reviewer said, you can always just tighten the laces, but really it's not that big of a deal. The shoes are really just such a great deal at the price they're at for the look and comfort. I was really disappointed when I found out Payless wasn't going to sell these anymore online as I already was on my third pair because they're my signature shoes that everyone knows me for, so I'm really glad they're back. It might be that my style is very vintage, but I get compliments almost DAILY on these shoes by both sexes. I'll definitely be buying some again soon. I wear them EVERY day almost the WHOLE day, and they last me maybe 8 or 9 months, which I think is GREAT considering how much wear I give them and all the bending and variation of weather conditions I put them through. They suit my personal style and are Major head-turners and it's always endearing when elderly women start talking to me because they noticed my shoes and "wore some just like those" when they were young too. Overall, these are really great, and as long as Payless makes these available, I'm always going to wear these. The only downfall I can mention is that I wish they were a bit ventilated- I recommend putting insoles just for the sake of keeping the shoe fresh (you can always wash your insoles when needed and put them back in... I haven't tried actually WASHING the entire shoe. I don't think that would be a smart idea). I would definitely buy these also if they came in another color scheme that was still very authentic, not something tacky though haha.

We went a full size larger on these shoes for my daughter based on reviews and they were still too tight. They were long enough but not wide enough. If you need a wide width or like a little wiggle room these are not for you. I wish we had gone into the store and tried on the blue ones(many stores carry these for uniforms) and it would have saved me some trouble. I was also disappointed in the delivery time...took 10 full days for these to arrive. They were meant for a costume but if I were going to reorder I probably would not have enough time to get them. They are good looking shoes and seem well made. We did choose to keep the pair for her sister who needs a child's size and has a regular width. I will review those after she has had a chance to actually wear them.

I've worn these shoes with everything from skirts to shorts, and get attention wherever I go. Everyone asks where I found this classic style for adults, and I refer them all to this site. I hope enough people show an interest to reinstate them in the stores so I don't need to order them.
They last me between 1 and 2 years, but I wouldn't expect longer wear-ability from any shoe I enjoy nearly everyday.
I feel flirty, fun, timeless and stylish when I go out. And that is what matters most.
